One of the employees from Qdoba went out the side door of the business to take out the trash and 2 H/M suspects followed him back into the business. Once inside the 2 armed H/Ms dressed in all black clothing with masks produced handguns and demanded money. They had a purple Crown Royal Bag and made the clerk put the money in the bag. It is unknown if the suspects fled on foot or in a vehicle. No shots fired, no injuries.

When the 2 victims walked out of "Down to the Roots" they were approached by a B/M with a shotgun who demanded items from the victims. The suspect went through the male victim's pockets taking money, his cell phone and keys. The suspect was 35, 6 ft, 210, med build, beard, blue jeans, blue jacket. He fled on foot. No shots fired, no injuries

The victim was shot by at least two suspects and transported to CMC. He is currently in surgery, listed in serious/stable condition. There is evidence to suggest that the victim returned fire, possibly striking one of the suspects. At this time, it does not appear that robbery is a motive; it does not appear that this is a random act of violence.

The Truliant Federal Credit Union was robbed at gunpoint. Independence Division officers, K9, and robbery detectives responded.

The Dollar General advised they were robbed at gunpoint by a B/M. No injuries reported. K9 responded.

A heavy set H/M was found unresponsive on a bench at this location by CMPD Officers. Officers began CPR on the individual and called for Medic who responded, continued CPR and transported the subject to the hospital. The individual was revived and it currently appears that he will be fine. Officers are to be commended for their efforts that likely contributed to this subject's survival.

A male in his 30s was found in apparent cardiac arrest. The male had been complaining of chest pain all day. Medic began CPR, transported the male to the hospital where he later died. There are no apparent signs of foul play. This will be a ME case.
