>:(Last week my son and I helped the police catch 4 criminal idiots who were breaking into residential homes. We took turns following them and letting the police know where they were till the police were able to catch them.. That is the short version. Now guess what , one of them was arrested again today after a high speed chase from Huntersville to charlotte . He was doing the same thing again!!!! What does it take to get these animals off the streets? ?

Bruce, That is a great question. First of all, Thank you to you and your son for doing the right thing. these knuckleheads are suspected in breaking into houses from Cornielius to charlotte. With a few stops in my nieghborhood. How they operate is they pund on the door, if no one answers they break in , if someone does answer they home invade. After this car chase. I am willing to bet they will, if not are already back on the streets, planning there next crime. Maybee they will kill someone this time. Then The DA will give a sob story about how they fell through the cracks of the system.

Bruce -- first of all, KUDOS to you and your son! If only there wasn't this "don't snitch" mentality within the african-american community, perhaps they would be of more assistance to CMPD and L.E. in ways such as this.
It is a sad day when the same perpetrators of such crime not only are released nearly immediately -- but they commit the same (or worse) crimes practically hours later! I am sure that we will find that the disgusting thug who murdered the 92-year old Ms. Clontz will not only have a lennnnngthy arrest record, but will additionally be found to have recently been released from jail (on a ridiculously low bond, that was no doubt lowered by bleeding heart judges, who just wanted to give him "a chance.")
Kelly, is there any way we can monitor if/when these thugs-in-training are released from Meck County jail? I noticed that Staples' bond was over 300k, but of course, if that gets lowered to 30k he'll be out in time to skip class tomorrow (that is, if he hasn't already dropped out).

Hey Crimedawg! Yes, you can monitor them using VineLink/SAVAN. It will make you SICK to see how fast they are released from jail (as if you didn't already know) On crimeincharlotte, I have a link under the 'NC Crime' links called SAVAN/Inmate Tracking. Click on the link, select NC, and search for the inmate you wish to track. You may sign up to receive an email or a telephone call when the offender is released or is moved to another facility. Keep us posted!!! Link: www.vinelink.com/vinelink/initSearchForm.do?siteId=34003
