4419 Tuckaseegee Road- An officer working a robbery prevention initiative observed a parked vehicle at the Howard Johnson's motel that was stolen earlier in a robbery. Possible suspects were determined to be held up in a motel room. SWAT was activated. The suspects surrendered and were apprehended without incident.
5917 Quail hollow Road - Officers responded to a domestic violence and when they arrived the suspect had torn up the apartment and broken into the apartment next door. Suspect would not comply with officers, so he was tased. Suspect was treated and transported.
6414 Yateswood Drive- Victim advises that several young B/M teens tried to rob him. Suspects beat the victim with a bat. Injuries were non-life threatening. Suspects left on foot
1814 Burnette Ave- Officers responded to a hit and run involved a 6 year old male and a 12 year old female were hit by a car in which the 5 occupants jumped and ran. 6 year old male had a broken arm and the female had some scrapes and hurt knee. All 5 of the occupants were located and this case is being referred to the DA for charges.
3717 Freedom Drive- This is the business of Jiffy Lube. Employees advise that a B/M just robbed them. B/M suspect was
about 5'8", tan bandage similar to ACE bandage, tan jacket, stocky build, chrome handgun. No injuries
1309 Vasser Place- Victim in this case advises that she was robbed by a B/M suspect as she got out of her car. Suspect was a B/M, low cut hair, teens, 6'0", gun, driving a silver or gray compact car.
6414 English Hill Drive - Victims advised that they were robbed by 2 B/M's in the parking lot that wanted to help them with car issues.. Suspects then pulled guns on them and shot at the victims as they left. Suspects took victims money and vehicle. No injuries. #1 B/M - yellow or orange shirt, baseball cap, gun got into a gray Ford Taurus. #2 B/M, black hoodie, baseball cap, gun got in the victims sisters red ford focus and drove off. Officers caught suspect #1.
2207 Canterwood Dr.- The comp. reports being robbed by an armed B/M suspect. The victim was at the intersection of Tom Hunter & N. Tryon St. gave the the suspect a ride, a short distance later the suspect pointed a weapon at him. The victim also fired one shot in the vehicle during the incident. The victim and his 2YO son were able to escape from the vehicle. The suspect also took the victims wallet and keys.
6629 Cedar Springs Road- A 27 year old H/F was brought in to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The death appears to be a drug overdose.
1035 Marble Street- The victim reported that he was walking by a known drug house when 2 B/M's robbed him at gunpoint.
Central Avenue- 3 masked B/M's entered El Dragon nightclub just at closing time. The suspects robbed the business at gunpoint and also robbed three employees. No one was injuried.
6300 Countryside Drive- The victim was walking when a small light colored vehicle approahed and 4 B/M's 18-20 years old exited. 2 suspects were armed with a knife and a gun. The victim was robbed and the suspects fled in the vehicle that was driven by another B/M suspect.
436 East 36th Street- The victim reported that she was getting into her vehicle when an armed B/M demanded her money. He took her purse then got into a dark colored SUV occupied by at least 3 other B/M's and they fled the scene.
