Read this article published by The Charlotte Observer. THIS is why we have bad kids. Bad parents = Bad Children. I feel bad for these kids, they dont have a chance.
2 lost kids wander streets on Halloween
Police in two districts spent almost five hours overnight looking for two children who were left by their mother to go trick-or-treating.
The children eventually were found on a busy south Charlotte intersection early this morning. They were safe, police say.
Authorities say they have referred to case to the Department of Social Services, adding that the children's mother apparently was drinking Tuesday night.
The incident began, police say, when the mother dropped off her two children -- ages 15 and 9 -- at the corner of Archdale Drive and High Meadow Lane to go trick-or-treating. About 8:30 p.m., the children called police and said they were lost.
Police began looking for the children, who apparently had wandered off again.
About 10:45 p.m., the mother contacted police and said her children were missing. Police say the mother had been drinking and did not know where her children were. Meanwhile, police were searching across south Charlotte for the two youths.
About 1:30 a.m., police finally found the children at the corner of South Boulevard and Scaleybark Road.
That is 3 miles from where the mother left the youths, several hours earlier. Police say the children are in good shape.

Yes, this is bad! It angers me when people decide to have children and do not take responsibility for them. Kids like this end up in trouble.

Gotta love wasting resources for such ridiculousness. Glad I pay taxes for this. Hope no actual crime and/or problems arose. This mother should be charged in some way. If nothing else, she should monetarily pass back the city! Poor kids will probably grow up to be the exact same way!

Its a sad day in Charlotte when the school system must ask parents to sign a contract to be a good parent. The items listed in the terms of agreement are things parents should be doing already. I think it is a wonderful idea but some parents are all upset about the contract. Go Figure!!! Terms of Agreement: CMS is asking parents of students at four low-scoring high schools to agree to: • Get their children to school on time every day. • Check to make sure homework is done daily. • Make sure their children attend after-school tutoring and take advantage of other aid if they're falling behind. • Communicate regularly with teachers. • Return calls from school staff within 24 hours. • Support school staff if their children must be disciplined.
