The Harris Teeter on East Blvd was robbed yesterday around 2:30 but it isn't showing on the blotter. I don't think he was armed, so this doesn't count?

I saw it happen. A relative of mine who was with me lives about 90 miles away and mentioned it to the mgr of her local HT who told her they got $280. Still have seen nothing about this locally.

I'm not sure why it wasn't listed on the watch commander's report. What exactly happened?

A car with 3 people parked at the door, one person entered and grabbed cash from the register (not sure if he was pretending to buy or if another customer was paying). He dashed out, hopped in the car heading west. As I said in my OP, not sure if he was armed but it didn't sound like it. I was outside as he ran out and the car left. (That was probably the most dangerous aspect: the reckless driving.) I and another patron called police. The manager and several employees were out front. Everyone had pretty much the same story and descriptions. Police had not arrived when I left. IIRC, that HT has cameras at the door, so there should be video of it.

I believe what you described is called a "till tap" (Correct me if I am wrong Officers) and this type of crime does not usually make it to the Watch Commanders Log...
