If the citizens of Mecklenburg county can gather 47,875 signatures of registered voters, then we can force a referendum onto the ballot for November 2007. This referendum would be BINDING upon the Mecklenburg County Commission. This would repeal the 1/2 cent sales tax. We would lower our sales tax and send a message to the city of Charlotte that they are going down the wrong "track".
