If the County Commissioners add the request for funding for a new jail, what would you vote? The current jail is overcrowded. The jail holds more than 2,700 inmates and it is hundreds over capacity right now.
Even if money for a new jail is approved in November, it would take at least four years to build. Until a decision's made to build a new jail, inmates could be put in modular buildings.
What do you think?

We've still got the former arena (that we as taxpayers still owe on), as well as numerous abandoned "box stores" located throughout Charlotte. These are possible venues for housing more of these predators.

It may take four years to build but I have no problem there. The problem I see coming to light would be that it will probably be built too small.
Build it to hold at least double what the current one holds.

That is an interesting point guest. I wonder if it is cheaper to use some of the existing buildings... They talk about pods but I don't know where they would put them.
