I live at Eastlake Apartments off of Village Lake Drive. A Robert Gregory Brown keeps breaking in to empty units, then gets caught and then gets a whole day or two in jail before getting let out again only to break in again a few days later!!! This man has a triple digit arrest record!!! At one point the captain of independence division CMPD encouraged the DA to push the amount of time he spent in jail. The next time he was arrested he did about 4 months...and as soon as he got out he went right back to breaking in again! Now he is once again only spending a night or two in jail......what can be done about this.

Hey John, I wish I could give you an answer to your question besides "nothing," but I can't. Unfortunately, this is how it works when dealing with the Mecklenburg County Court system. It isn't right and it is very frustrating for us citizens who continue to be victimized and for CMPD who has to keep arresting these repeat offenders. I went to the DOC website and printed out Brown's state record ( it is 85 pages long!!!) In the past 3 years, CMPD has arrested Brown 24 TIMES!!!!! This guy deserves to be researched further and will appear on CIC's Criminal Spotlight very soon!!! Thanks for bringing this guy to our attention! This is just another example of how the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Court system is failing us miserably! Here is a photo of Robert Brown:
