Has anyone noticed the removal of details from Charlotte Observer articles? I come to this site every morning to read the crime blotter. I like to know what is happening in Charlotte and this website is the best source for crime related news.
This morning, I read the crime blotter and one crime stuck in my head because this is where I live:
2017 Atherton Heights Ln.- The victim was approached by (4) B/M's (1 armed with a handgun) who went through his pockets and took his keys. The suspects then searched the victims vehicle and fled the scene in a green colored VW Jetta. The vehicle and suspects are possibly related to earlier robberies.
I like to read The Charlotte Observer to get other local news. I noticed an article published by The Observer about this same crime:
South End robbery linked to crimes?

Police think an armed robbery Tuesday evening in Charlotte's South End district might have been pulled off by bandits who are responsible for several other recent robberies.
Tuesday's robbery happened about 8:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Atherton Heights Lane.
The victim said he was approached by four men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded the keys to his car. The assailants rummaged through the victim's vehicle, then fled in a green VW Jetta. There is no word if the attackers took anything from the man's car.
Police say the getaway vehicle and other aspects of the crime are similar to several recent robberies.
Why does the Observer leave pertinent details from their articles? Is it so politically incorrect to mention the four suspects are black? I doubt it was an accident these details were left out. Come on Charlotte Observer, report the truth and the whole truth.
