The Break room on Independence Blvd is a prime example of a continuing problem.
There was one more shooting at the place again the other night.
There have been a lot of shootings there. One is too many. There are a lot of reasons that these shootings happen. I think the main one is drug dealers and drug users. We need to spend more money on long term undercover operations. Right now its hit the small dealers and users because it takes a big investment in time and money to bust the big guys. Places like the Break room are patronized by those who know the dealers are there. The Break room may or may not know its going on. Its a big social click. Everyone knows everyone there so to get inside such a arrangement takes time, months and months. Right now there isn't the personnel or the money to make it happen. We need more undercover people and more funding.
