This may seem trivial compared to some posts but I writing it to emphasize the boldness of our thugs here in Charlotte:
A few weeks ago at about noon on a Wednesday, I was pumping gas at the intersection of Village Lake Drive and Independence Blvd. The place was packed. Each pump (and there are about 10 of them) had someone at it. I was driving my husband's little pickup with a camper shell on the back so I couldn't see the driver's door. While I was standing on one side of the truck pumping my gas this guy slipped around and went in the drivers door and stole my billfold. Actually had about $200 in it at the time. In viewing the station's survellience tapes, he came in an SUV behind me and stopped, got out and walked up to my car, opened my door, took my wallet, hopped back in the SUV and left. I know somebody saw what was happening and did nothing at all. He was a black male and quite honestly, that was the race that was pumping gas around me...not that it really matters.
Called the police who did not even send anyone out. A detective called me and quite honestly said they probably would do absolutely nothing about it.
Getting bad out there, really bad.
