People call 911 and request an ambulance for the craziest things! When I listen to the scanner, I hear people request Medic for headaches, minor cuts, etc...
One call I heard tonight tops them all!! I heard the following when Medic was informing the hospital about the patient they were bringing in.
Medic: "We are bringing you a 45-year old female with a small puncture wound to her ankle. She was cut by a frozen fish she bought from a store in a bag. She has minor swelling around the wound, all vitals are normal and we will see you in 5-8 minutes."
