I want you to know that it's just the start or our summer season of crime. It's only going to get worse.
As the national economic situation slides and money gets tight the underworld of Charlotte will do the same as everyone in a business does, charge more.
This will in turn drive the buyers (customers of drug dealers) to seek more money to support their habit.
I would think that some will supplement their income with, theft, robbery, home and car break ins and the all time favorite pass time of the busy homeless (substance abusers), stealing everything metal in eye shot to get cash.
The dealers themselves will seek new sales territory to increase their profits. This expansion could result in blood and lives.
There is always a segment that will take from others to support their family’s well being. My thought is that they are a very small portion of the over all crime problem.
The list ( posted for April-11th -12th- 13th-2008) doesn’t reflect all the other crimes like thefts, home and car break in's and the domestic violence calls which are often connected to substance abuse.
Get ready folks I hope I am wrong about this but I think we are (a)ll in store for a very bumpy ride.
Stay safe.

I'm afraid to say you're probably right. I seem to see more people pushing carts full of metal lately. It's usually a sign of things to come around my area.
